On Friday, March 14, the city of Imzouren, in Al Hoceima province, witnessed a remarkable humanitarian initiative thanks to the efforts of local youth and expatriates, in collaboration with a local butcher. This initiative successfully reduced the price of veal and minced meat from 90 to 50 dirhams per kilogram, attracting a large number of residents, especially low-income families.
Starting at 8 AM, a massive crowd gathered to take advantage of the offer. To ensure fair distribution, a purchasing limit of 1.5 kilograms per person was set. Due to the overwhelming demand, the available stock was completely sold out within an hour, by 9 AM.
This initiative will continue on Saturday and Sunday, providing another opportunity for struggling families to benefit from this price reduction. Organizers anticipate a similar turnout in the coming days.
Red meat, known for its high protein and iron content, is a crucial part of daily meals. By lowering its cost, this initiative has eased the financial burden on families, particularly during tough economic times.
This effort highlights the values of social responsibility and solidarity, encouraging more businesses to offer similar discounts to support vulnerable communities. A heartwarming example of community cohesion and shared well-being.
