Arrest in Tangier for Drug Trafficking

Police officers in Tangier arrested a suspect on Saturday, March 15, for alleged involvement in drug possession and trafficking of psychotropic substances.

The suspect was apprehended in a neighborhood of Tangier, where a search led to the seizure of 4,266 psychotropic pills of various types, along with three electronic scales and a sum of money suspected to be the proceeds of this illegal activity.

A check of the suspect’s identity in the national security database revealed that he was the subject of a nationwide arrest warrant for a similar drug trafficking case.

The suspect has been placed under judicial investigation under the supervision of the competent public prosecutor’s office to determine all the circumstances of the case and identify any potential extensions of this criminal network.
