A Shocking Case of Assault in Boulemane Province

The Moroccan Association for Human Rights, Boulemane branch, has revealed new developments in the case of sexual assault involving several students, which has shaken the Kéko commune in Boulemane province. The case came to light after one of the victims attempted suicide.
According to the association’s statement, the case began when a student attempted to take her own life. This tragic event led her family to file a complaint, revealing that their daughter had been threatened with the release of a compromising video by one of her friends.
Following the complaint, the Missour public prosecutor’s office quickly launched an investigation. After three days of inquiries, eight individuals have been arrested, including five males and three female students. They will soon be presented before an investigating judge in Fez.
The association, citing informed sources, indicated that the number of detainees could increase as the investigation continues.
Given the public outcry and media attention surrounding the case, the Moroccan Association for Human Rights has urged the prosecutor’s office to issue an official statement to clarify the facts to the public.
It also emphasized the importance of continuing investigations thoroughly and interrogating all suspects without exception, warning against any attempts to cover up the case through political or financial influence.
The association classified the exploitation of minors in this case as an act of human trafficking. It strongly opposed any attempt to divide the case and insisted that all suspects should be tried as part of a single case.
Finally, the association called for strict punishments against those involved to ensure deterrence and prevent similar crimes in the future.
Authorities are still questioning several underage students from the Kéko region to uncover the full extent of the assaults.
