Spain Allocates Over One Million Euros for Ambulances in Morocco

Spanish media reports have revealed that the Spanish government has decided to allocate €1,028,500 from its budget to purchase 10 ambulances for Morocco as part of its efforts to curb irregular migration.
According to the Spanish newspaper Eldebate, the General Secretariat of the Ibero-American International Institution for Public Policy Management, under the Spanish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, will oversee the implementation of this project, which is expected to be completed within just seven months.
The same source explained that this initiative aims to strengthen Morocco’s capacity to address the challenges of irregular migration by providing essential logistical support. It also seeks to enhance the ability of Moroccan institutions to monitor and secure borders.
It is worth noting that the Spanish government has consistently provided Morocco with technical and logistical assistance, including surveillance equipment such as cameras, vehicles, and tracking devices, to support efforts at the borders of the occupied cities of Ceuta and Melilla.
These Spanish aids are granted based on necessity and within the framework of the partnership between both countries to combat irregular migration, a shared challenge, as Morocco serves as the last major transit point before reaching Europe.
