Weather Alert: Strong Winds and Heavy Snowfall Expected in Several Regions

The General Directorate of Meteorology has announced that strong wind gusts, ranging from 75 to 85 km/h, accompanied by dust storms, as well as snowfall with an accumulation of 5 to 20 cm, are expected in several regions of Morocco on Monday and Tuesday.

In an « orange » alert bulletin, the Directorate specified that these strong winds will affect the provinces of Youssoufia, Chichaoua, Essaouira, Marrakech, Berrechid, El Jadida, Rehamna, Safi, and Sidi Bennour on Monday from 9 AM to 9 PM.

Additionally, snowfall is expected in mountainous areas above 1900 meters, with accumulations ranging from 5 to 20 cm, impacting the provinces of Ouarzazate, Tinghir, Al Haouz, Azilal, Béni Mellal, Ifrane, and Midelt, starting Monday at 6 PM until Tuesday noon.
