Bank Al-Maghrib Lowers Key Interest Rate for the Third Time Since June

The Board of Bank Al-Maghrib, meeting this Tuesday in Rabat, has decided to lower its key interest rate by 25 basis points to 2.25%. This marks the second consecutive cut and the third reduction since last June.
In a statement issued following its first quarterly meeting of 2025, the central bank explained that this decision is based on the projected evolution of inflation, which remains aligned with the goal of price stability. The move also aims to strengthen support for economic activity and employment.
Bank Al-Maghrib will continue to closely monitor economic conditions and will base its decisions on the latest available data, assessing the situation meeting by meeting.
