Weather Forecast for Today

The General Directorate of Meteorology expects, for this Wednesday, the passage of high-altitude clouds over the northern and central plains, the Rif, the Atlas, and the eastern regions of the country.

Low clouds accompanied by local fog banks will form in the morning and night over the central-western plains of the southern provinces and in the northern part of the Oriental region. Additionally, dust storms are expected in the southeastern and eastern regions.

Starting from the afternoon, relatively strong wind gusts will be recorded in the High and Middle Atlas mountains, the southern part of the Oriental, the Mediterranean coast, the Tangier region, and the Atlantic plains stretching between El Jadida and Essaouira.

Minimum temperatures will range between -5 and 3°C in the Atlas Mountains, the Rif, and the eastern highlands, between 0 and 7°C in the eastern slopes of the Atlas and the phosphate plateaus of Oulmès, and between 9 and 13°C in the rest of the country.

During the day, temperatures will rise significantly across all regions.

As for the sea conditions, the Mediterranean and the Strait of Gibraltar will have slight to moderate waves, while the waters between Cap Spartel and Tan-Tan, as well as south of Dakhla, will be rough to very rough. The rest of the coasts will experience slight to moderate waves.
