Weather Forecast for Thursday

The General Directorate of Meteorology forecasts rain and localized thunderstorms this Thursday in the Tangier, Loukkos, Rif, inland Gharb, Saïs, Oulmès, Middle Atlas regions, as well as the Atlantic plains between El Jadida and Essaouira.

Scattered showers are also expected across the rest of the Atlantic plains north of Agadir, the High Atlas, the Mediterranean coastline, and the Phosphate Plateaus. Some light rain or drizzle might fall in the evening and night over the central regions, the Small Atlas, and the northeast.

Temperatures will remain cold in the morning and night in the Rif, Middle Atlas, and High Atlas. Dust particles may be lifted in the southeast and eastern regions of the country.

Moderately strong wind gusts are expected in the eastern region, the southeast, the Atlantic plains, the High and Middle Atlas, as well as in the inland areas and the Rif.

The minimum temperatures will range from -3°C to 3°C in the High Atlas, from 3°C to 9°C in the Rif and the rest of the Atlas Mountains, from 13°C to 17°C near the coasts and northeast, and from 7°C to 14°C in the rest of the country.

During the day, temperatures will drop in the western regions.

Regarding sea conditions, the Mediterranean will be slightly to moderately rough, while the sea west of the Strait of Gibraltar will be rough to very rough. The rest of the Strait will be slightly to moderately rough, with strong to very strong waves between Cape Spartel and Cape Ghir, slightly rough to moderate seas between Boujdour and Dakhla, and moderate to rough conditions along the rest of the Atlantic coast.
