The Muslim World League Hosts Its First Iftar at the U.S. Congress

The Muslim World League organized its first Iftar dinner at the U.S. Congress during Ramadan, bringing together Muslims, followers of other faiths, and decision-makers from both the Republican and Democratic parties.
The organization emphasized that this initiative aims to foster mutual understanding and peaceful coexistence as part of its international efforts to uphold shared human values.
In a video message, the Secretary-General of the League, Mohammed bin Abdul Karim Al-Issa, highlighted the importance of coexistence and collaboration. He noted that inviting non-Muslims to the Iftar embodies the spirit of Ramadan by emphasizing gratitude and solidarity with the less fortunate.
He also urged Muslims to respect the laws of their respective countries and contribute to fostering tolerance and social integration while combating hate speech and civilizational conflict theories.
Paula White, former senior religious advisor to ex-President Donald Trump, praised the League’s efforts in interfaith dialogue and expressed appreciation for Mohammed Al-Issa’s global initiatives.
The event concluded with several speeches commending the Muslim World League’s role in promoting mutual respect and cooperation among different religious and social groups within the U.S. Congress.
