On the evening of Thursday, March 20, a tragic incident occurred in Douar Achaouia, part of the Bni Jmil Mestassa commune in Al Hoceima province. A young child lost his life after being stung by a bee, which led to a rapid deterioration in his health.
According to family members, they contacted the local communal center to request an ambulance. However, the response was disappointing, as they were informed that no driver was available for the emergency transport.
Sources revealed that one of the ambulance drivers was in Al Hoceima, while the other was in the neighboring commune of Bni Boufrah, making it impossible to provide the necessary assistance in time.
The child was eventually transported to the hospital using alternative means. Unfortunately, his critical condition, combined with the lack of immediate medical intervention, resulted in his death. This tragedy has sparked sadness and anger among the local population.
Residents are now calling for improvements to the ambulance system, demanding more personnel and better coordination to ensure faster emergency responses and prevent such heartbreaking incidents in the future.
