Denial of Allegations Regarding Abuse of Authority

In response to a Facebook post claiming that an individual exploited his brother’s position as prison director to force the Bouizakarne prison director to hand over stale bread and use inmates for transport, the prison administration provides the following clarifications:

• The allegations are false. The person purchasing the stale bread is not related to the individual mentioned in the post and has no family ties to the General Delegate. Moreover, the sale is conducted by the prison’s treasurer in accordance with applicable regulations.

• The claim that inmates are responsible for bagging the bread is also untrue. The buyer and his assistant handle this task themselves under the supervision of an economic affairs representative. Inmates assigned to internal work only transport the bread to the designated collection area before it is sold.
