Minister Marco Rubio’s Visit to Jamaica, Guyana, and Suriname

Foreign Minister Marco Rubio will visit Jamaica, Guyana, and Suriname from March 26 to 27 to advance President Trump’s foreign policy priorities in the Caribbean region.
While in Jamaica, he will also hold bilateral meetings with the leaders of Barbados, Trinidad and Tobago, and Haiti.
These meetings will foster regional cooperation to combat illegal migration, transnational organized crime, and political and security challenges in Haiti, while strengthening U.S. economic partnerships with Caribbean nations.
