Algeria Expels Moroccan Diplomat

In a new escalation, Algeria’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced on Thursday, March 27, that Morocco’s Vice-Consul, Khalifa Cheihani, has been declared persona non grata and given 48 hours to leave the country.
According to an official statement, the Moroccan diplomat was summoned and formally notified of the decision, justified by « suspicious actions incompatible with his consular duties. » However, no further details were provided regarding these alleged actions.
