
The National Airports Office reported that a fire broke out on Thursday in the Royal Air Maroc cargo area at Mohammed V Airport in Casablanca. The fire was swiftly contained, with no casualties recorded.
According to the statement released on Friday, the fire was detected at 7:30 PM, prompting an immediate response from airport firefighters and relevant personnel. Fire trucks from the airport, civil protection units, and Royal Gendarmerie teams were mobilized.
Thanks to the rapid intervention, the fire was fully extinguished by 9:00 PM. While no human losses occurred, material damage was reported. An investigation is underway to determine the exact cause.
