Massive Blood Donation Drive in Morocco During Ramadan

Thousands of Moroccans have responded to the calls of the Moroccan Blood Agency this Ramadan, reinforcing the national blood reserves amid growing demand from public and private healthcare institutions.
Officials attribute this high turnout to donation campaigns held in mosques and by specialized associations, surpassing previous expectations, particularly after a decline in donations earlier in the winter. As a result, blood stock levels in some regions now suffice for up to five days.
Mahmoud Abghach, head of blood donation caravans at the Moroccan Blood Agency in Marrakech, highlighted that this year’s Ramadan campaigns achieved exceptional results, exceeding those recorded in previous years.
