Casablanca Stock Exchange Opens Lower

The Casablanca Stock Exchange started its Thursday session on a downward trend, with its main index, MASI, dropping by 0.44% to 17,598.22 points.
The MASI.20 index, reflecting the performance of the top 20 listed companies, declined by 0.49% to 1,431.51 points, while the MASI.ESG index, which includes the best-rated companies in terms of social responsibility, fell by 0.55% to 1,206.42 points.
The MASI Mid and Small Cap index, tracking small and medium-sized enterprises, also dropped by 0.68% to 1,759.54 points.
Among individual stocks, the biggest declines were recorded by IB Maroc Com (-3.16%), Aluminium du Maroc (-2.75%), Managem (-2.7%), Delta Holding (-2.53%), and HPS (-2.44%).
On the other hand, the biggest gains were seen in Stokvis North Africa (+9.89%), TotalEnergies Marketing Maroc (+2.03%), Maghrebail (+1.96%), CIH Bank (+1.87%), and LafargeHolcim Maroc (+1.3%).
Yesterday, the MASI had already closed with a 0.45% decline.
