In the Fields of Meknes, Water Becomes the Seed of a Greener Tomorrow
Crown Prince Moulay El Hassan presided over the official opening of the 17th International Agricultural Fair in Morocco (SIAM) this Monday in Meknes, held under the High Patronage of His Majesty King Mohammed VI from April 21 to 27, 2025.
This year’s theme, “Agriculture and Rural World: Water at the Heart of Sustainable Development,” highlights the critical role of water in ensuring food security and rural prosperity amid growing climate challenges.
His Royal Highness’s presence underscores Morocco’s continued royal commitment to the modernization of the agricultural sector and to promoting sustainable development policies.
The fair hosts over 1,500 exhibitors from 70 countries, with France as the guest of honor, reflecting strong bilateral relations and dynamic cooperation.
Prince Moulay El Hassan toured several thematic pavilions, including innovation and research, irrigation systems, digital farming, livestock, agri-food industries, and environmental solutions.
SIAM 2025 also features high-level conferences and roundtables, offering a platform for stakeholders to exchange ideas on building a resilient and sustainable agricultural future in Africa and beyond.
