Major Anti-Drug Operation Launched at Dar Bouazza Beach

As part of efforts to combat illegal drug trafficking, Moroccan security forces launched a wide-scale raid early Tuesday morning on Oued Merzeg beach in Dar Bouazza. The operation involved officers from the judicial police and the Royal Gendarmerie.

Large-scale reinforcements were deployed to thoroughly sweep the area, especially black spots suspected of being used as drug distribution or hiding points.

This action is part of a series of recent security interventions in Casablanca’s outskirts, including Tamaris, Bouskoura, and Oulad Saleh, which led to the arrest of several suspects involved in drug-related activities.

The operations are part of a comprehensive security strategy ahead of the summer season, a period marked by increased beachgoers and tourist influx.
