Casablanca edges up

The Casablanca Stock Exchange started trading on a positive note this Friday. Its main index, MASI, rose by 0.06% to settle at 17,310.28 points.

The MASI.20 index, reflecting the performance of the top 20 listed companies, climbed 0.1% to 1,409.14 points. The MASI.ESG, which tracks top-rated sustainable companies, edged up 0.02% to 1,189.27 points.

In contrast, the MASI Mid and Small Cap index dropped slightly by 0.01% to 1,729.35 points.

Top gainers included « Les Réalisations Mécaniques » (+5.51% / MAD 470), « Maghrebail » (+2.84% / MAD 640), « Douja Promotion Addoha » (+1.84% / MAD 38.75), « Alliances » (+1.67% / MAD 498), and « Jet Contractors » (+1.65% / MAD 2,160).

Biggest losers were « IB Maroc.com » (-4.73% / MAD 38.04), « Aluminium du Maroc » (-2.49% / MAD 1,760), « Disway » (-2.13% / MAD 781), « DistriTech » (-2.08% / MAD 330), and « Stroc Industrie » (-2.04% / MAD 57.5).
