Akhannouch Represents His Majesty the King at Pope Francis’ Funeral in Rome

Prime Minister Aziz Akhannouch arrived this Friday evening in Rome to represent His Majesty King Mohammed VI, Commander of the Faithful, at the funeral of Pope Francis.

Upon arrival at Ciampino Military Airport, Mr. Akhannouch was received by Rajaa Naji Mekkaoui, Morocco’s Ambassador to the Vatican, Youssef Balla, Morocco’s Ambassador to Rome, and a senior Vatican representative.

Several heads of state and government are expected to attend the funeral ceremony, scheduled for tomorrow Saturday at Saint Peter’s Square in Vatican City.
