The audience included Mr. Karamoko Jean Marie Traoré (Burkina Faso), Mr. Abdoulaye Diop (Mali), and Mr. Bakary Yaou Sangaré (Niger). The meeting reflects the historic and enduring relationships between the Kingdom and these nations, rooted in mutual respect, active solidarity, and fruitful cooperation.
The ministers conveyed their presidents’ appreciation to the King for his unwavering interest in the Sahel region and welcomed the royal initiative aiming to grant Sahel countries access to the Atlantic Ocean.
They also updated His Majesty on the progress of the institutional and operational development of the Sahel States Alliance, established as a framework for regional integration and coordination among the three countries.
