Morocco to Raise Average Monthly Net Salary to MAD 10,100 by 2026

On the occasion of Labor Day, Minister Younes Sekkouri announced that the average net monthly salary in Morocco will increase from MAD 8,237 in 2021 to MAD 10,100 by 2026.

He also revealed that the net minimum wage in the public sector, which has remained at MAD 3,000 for the past five years, will be raised to MAD 4,500, following the instructions of King Mohammed VI and efforts to ensure fairness for public employees.

The minister highlighted the conclusion of several sectoral agreements, notably in education, where a budget of MAD 17 billion was mobilized to improve the situation of teachers.
