Casablanca Stock Exchange Opens Higher

The Casablanca Stock Exchange opened higher on Tuesday, with its main index, the MASI, rising by 0.58% to reach 17,538.8 points.
The MASI.20, which tracks the performance of the top 20 listed companies, advanced by 0.71% to 1,429.74 points. Meanwhile, the MASI.ESG, which highlights companies with the best ESG ratings, increased by 0.36% to 1,202.4 points.
The MASI Mid and Small Cap index, reflecting the performance of smaller companies, also climbed by 0.55%, standing at 1,729.11 points.
Among individual stocks, the top gainers were Label Vie (+8.84% to 4,680 MAD), Microdata (+4% to 857 MAD), Les Eaux Minérales d’Oulmès (+3.72% to 2,149 MAD), CTM (+2.94% to 35 MAD), and Banque Centrale Populaire (+2.18% to 271.9 MAD).
On the downside, the biggest losers included IB Maroc.com (-4.95% to 37.06 MAD), CTM (-2.12% to 913 MAD), Stroc Industrie (-2.04% to 57.5 MAD), Delta Holding (-1.83% to 80.5 MAD), and Auto Hall (-1% to 79.2 MAD).
As a reminder, the MASI had closed Monday’s session with a loss of 0.41%.
