As part of ongoing efforts to combat crime and ensure citizen safety, the judicial police in Casablanca’s Aïn Chock district arrested two individuals on Thursday afternoon, one of whom is a 16-year-old minor, on suspicion of being involved in a series of thefts under threat.

The arrest followed several formal complaints received by law enforcement, along with viral videos shared on social media platforms showing individuals committing thefts in broad daylight.

Thanks to swift investigations and digital evidence, authorities were able to identify the suspects and apprehend them in a short time frame, reflecting strong coordination between technical units and the judiciary.

The adult suspect was placed in police custody, while the minor was placed under judicial supervision. Both remain under investigation by the competent public prosecutor to uncover all circumstances surrounding the crimes.

This case highlights the efficiency of Moroccan law enforcement in responding to online-reported crimes and protecting public safety.
