Achraf Hakimi Wins Marc-Vivien Foé Award as Best African Player in Ligue 1

Moroccan international Achraf Hakimi, star of Paris Saint-Germain, has been awarded the Marc-Vivien Foé Prize for the Best African Player in the French Ligue 1 for the 2024-2025 season, honoring his outstanding performances throughout the year.
The award, presented by French radio RFI, commemorates Cameroonian footballer Marc-Vivien Foé, who tragically passed away during a Confederations Cup match in 2003. Hakimi topped the voting with 364 points, ahead of Evan Guessand (Nice, 165 points) and Habib Diarra (Strasbourg, 43 points).
This accolade highlights a brilliant season for the Moroccan defender, who played a vital role in PSG’s league title and their progression to both the Champions League and French Cup finals.
Individually, Hakimi delivered remarkable stats: 7 goals and 14 assists across all competitions, including 4 goals and 8 assists in Ligue 1.
