Sidi Maârouf Interchange Project Reaches 40% Completion in Casablanca

The Sidi Maârouf interchange project in Casablanca’s Aïn Chock district (southern entrance to the city) has reached 40% completion, around seven months after work began in October 2024, in partnership with Morocco’s National Motorway Company (ADM).
According to technical data, the project features an innovative hybrid design that combines the cloverleaf and turbine interchange models, aimed at easing traffic flow in a zone that sees up to 140,000 vehicles per day.
With an allocated budget of 500 million dirhams, the project is expected to relieve congestion and improve mobility on one of Casablanca’s key transportation arteries. Completion is projected for August 2026.
Several similar road infrastructure projects are underway across the city to improve traffic conditions in a rapidly growing urban environment.
