Casablanca to Host National Conference on Digital Violence Against Women and Girls

As part of their efforts to combat gender-based violence, the associations « Rights and Justice » and « Challenge for Equality and Citizenship » are co-organizing a national conference on Friday, May 30, 2025, at Idou Anfa Hotel in Casablanca, titled: « Digital Violence Against Women and Girls in Morocco: Diagnosis, Challenges, and Recommendations. »

This event will address the alarming rise in digital abuse targeting women and girls through cyberbullying, blackmail, defamation, threats, and unauthorized sharing of personal data.

Participants will include representatives from public institutions, legal and digital experts, social workers, and civil society actors. A recent study by the Moroccan Center for Multitech Research and Innovation will be unveiled, offering key findings and actionable proposals.

The conference seeks to position digital violence as a critical human rights issue and foster a multi-dimensional response to ensure protection and justice for women in the digital space.
