Casablanca to Launch New Local Development Company: “Casa Realization”

The Casablanca Prefectural Council is expected to vote on the creation of a new Local Development Company (LDC) named « Casa Realization », during its upcoming session on Monday, June 9, 2025.

This move continues a trend that began during the second term of former mayor Mohamed Sajid (2009–2015), and has since sparked ongoing debate.

Supporters argue that LDCs enable faster project execution and operational flexibility. However, critics warn of reduced public oversight and lack of accountability, raising concerns over transparency and democratic governance.

With “Casa Realization”, Casablanca adds another name to its list of LDCs operating in key public sectors like transport, waste management, and urban development.
