In a festive and culturally rich atmosphere, the Tbourida team led by moqaddem Rachid Sekkas from the Casablanca-Settat region (Berrechid province) claimed the title of the 24th edition of the Hassan II Trophy for Traditional Equestrian Arts, held in Dar Essalam, Rabat, on Sunday, June 1, 2025.

This prestigious win marks a consecutive victory for Sekkas’ team, reaffirming their dominance in the Moroccan Tbourida scene. The event, organized under the High Patronage of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, ran from May 26 to June 1 and showcased the best of Morocco’s traditional cavalry skills.

The team led by moqaddem Mehdi Anjar, representing the Marrakech-Safi region, secured the silver medal after a thrilling competition that highlighted the rising standards in traditional equestrian performances across the Kingdom.

The Hassan II Trophy, organized by the Royal Society for the Encouragement of the Horse (SOREC), is more than a sports event; it is a celebration of Moroccan cultural heritage.
