Moroccan Stocks Open in the Green Midweek

The Casablanca Stock Exchange opened trading on a positive note this Wednesday, with its main index MASI increasing by 0.46%, settling at 18,410.37 points.

The MASI.20 index, reflecting the performance of the top 20 listed companies, rose by 0.62% to 1,507.89 points, while the MASI.ESG index, which tracks the most sustainable companies, gained 0.83% to 1,259.86 points.

The MASI Mid and Small Cap, representing small and mid-sized companies, also showed a slight gain of 0.05%, closing at 1,783.69 points.

Top individual stock gainers included:

• Stroc Industrie (+6.06%) – 70.85 MAD

• Bank of Africa (+4.9%) – 257 MAD

• AtlantaSanad (+3.74%) – 146.9 MAD

• HPS (+3.25%) – 567.9 MAD

• Ciments du Maroc (+2.52%) – 2,035 MAD

On the downside, the biggest losses were posted by:

• CTM (-1.81%) – 920 MAD

• Sonasid (-1.64%) – 2,526 MAD

• M2M Group (-1.47%) – 510.6 MAD

• Cosumar (-1.28%) – 232 MAD

• Banque du Maroc (-0.91%) – 1,090 MAD

It’s worth noting that MASI closed Tuesday’s session up by 0.73%, signaling an overall upward trend in the market.
