Casablanca City Council to Hold Special Session on Expropriations and Development Projects

On Tuesday, June 10, 2025, the Casablanca City Council will convene an extraordinary session to decide on four key issues, including land expropriation for public interest and the signing of development partnerships.

The agenda includes:

  1. Public facility land expropriation:
    A vote will be held on the expropriation of a 551 m² plot owned by TOWER SEVEN ART, located at the intersection of Zerktouni and Anfa avenues in Sidi Belyout, to build a public facility.

  2. Women’s empowerment center:
    A partnership agreement will be discussed with the National Union of Moroccan Women to develop a social and economic empowerment center for women and girls in Casablanca.

  3. Bouskoura River development:
    Several institutions plan to revamp the Bouskoura River banks, through joint efforts for urban and environmental enhancement.

  4. Land expropriation for road and public space in Anfa:
    The council will vote on the expropriation of plots owned by Malibu Real Estate, for the development of streets, a public square, and an underground parking garage, in line with the Anfa zoning plan (AN23–AN26, G12).

This session reflects the city’s focus on urban development and inclusive growth.
