Moroccan Youth Receives Official Royal Letter from Spain for Proposal Honoring Female Volunteers in Valencia Floods

In a heartfelt gesture that celebrates civic spirit and humanitarian action, Hicham Ettahami, a young Moroccan living in Málaga, received an official letter from the Spanish Royal Palace acknowledging his cultural proposal to honor female volunteers who played a vital role during the Valencia floods.
Ettahami, president of the AML Association for Education and Development based in Tangier, proposed a meeting with Her Majesty the Queen of Spain to present a cultural project that highlights the heroic and selfless contributions of women volunteers during the disaster.
The letter, dated June 9, 2025 and signed by Ramón Rodríguez Iglesias, confirmed that the proposal has been duly considered, and that if the Queen’s schedule permits, a meeting may be arranged. The letter also noted the large volume of similar requests, which may cause delays in scheduling.
Ettahami is a prominent figure in Moroccan community activism abroad. His initiative aims to reflect the positive role of Moroccan expatriates and reinforce the values of volunteerism, solidarity, and intercultural dialogue.
