Casablanca: Exceptional Promotion for Policeman Injured in the Line of Duty

The Director General of National Security and Territorial Surveillance, Abdellatif Hammouchi, has awarded an exceptional promotion to a police officer from Casablanca’s mobile motorbike unit, following serious injuries sustained during an attempt to arrest a dangerous suspect.

The officer was intentionally hit by the suspect’s car, who was wanted nationwide for drug and alcohol trafficking offenses. The incident left the officer with serious injuries, requiring immediate medical attention at a private clinic.

The suspect was arrested at the scene and placed in custody pending legal proceedings.

In recognition of his courage and professional dedication, the injured officer was promoted to the rank of Senior Police Officer. This gesture reflects the General Directorate’s strong commitment to support and honor its officers who risk their lives to protect the public.
