The Moroccan Customs and Indirect Tax Administration has unveiled a new organizational reform by launching an autonomous Remote Control Directorate in the Casablanca-Settat region, aiming to improve efficiency and oversight.

According to a circular signed by Director General Abdelatif El Omrani (No. 5116665), the former regional remote control center in Casablanca has been transformed into a standalone directorate, now managing several key units, including those at Casablanca Port and Mohammed V Airport.

The directorate will supervise the Orange Track declarations, monitor Authorized Economic Operators (AEOs), oversee air cargo at Nouaceur, and manage customs operations at MEAD warehouses (East and West). Two treasury officers will support these operations for better compliance and faster processing.

This reform is part of the broader vision to digitize customs processes, enhance remote supervision, reduce delays, and offer transparent, user-friendly services to economic operators.
