The iconic Russian tall ship “Kruzenshtern” continues its three-day stopover at the Port of Casablanca, after arriving on Wednesday, July 2, 2025. This marks the vessel’s second visit to Morocco, the first being in the spring of 2012.

Coordinated by the Russian Federal Fisheries Agency’s representative in Morocco, the stopover is more than just a technical or training mission. It carries a strong cultural and diplomatic dimension, aiming to strengthen maritime exchange and training, and to open new opportunities for bilateral cooperation between Russia and Morocco in shared maritime heritage.

According to Russian media, the purpose of this visit is to foster friendly relations with Morocco, to promote the Russian flag, and to enhance cultural openness and maritime cooperation. Activities include tours aboard the ship, and receptions for official and civilian delegations, with an expected attendance of around 300 visitors.
