Casablanca: Thief Tries to Snatch Restaurant Owner’s Phone

In Casablanca, a thief attempted to snatch a phone from a restaurant owner on Thursday evening in a busy street, sparking swift reactions from bystanders and police.

According to witnesses, the suspect waited for the victim to be distracted at the entrance of his restaurant before making a sudden grab for the phone and attempting to flee.

However, the thief’s plan failed when the restaurant owner and several passersby chased and caught him just a few meters away. He was later handed over to the local police.

Authorities have launched an investigation, suspecting the individual may be connected to similar thefts reported across the city.
