Government Council to Convene Thursday Under Chairmanship of Aziz Akhannouch

A Government Council is scheduled to be held on Thursday, chaired by Prime Minister Aziz Akhannouch, to discuss several draft laws, regulatory texts, international agreements, and appointments to senior positions.
According to a statement from the Prime Minister’s Office, the session will begin with the review of three draft laws. The first aims to amend the civil status law, the second concerns the protection of stray animals and the prevention of related risks, while the third proposes the creation of the « Morocco 2030 » institution, envisioned as a strategic framework for long-term development.
The Council will then examine a draft decree defining the composition of the commission established under the postal and telecommunications law, followed by a review of the extradition agreement signed in Riyadh on November 13, 2024, between Morocco and Saudi Arabia, along with the draft law approving it.
The meeting will conclude with a review of proposed appointments to high-level positions, in accordance with the provisions of Article 92 of the Constitution.
