Casablanca: Event Caterer Sentenced to 5 Years in Prison for Forced Group Sex and Abuse

The Aïn Sebaâ criminal court in Casablanca has sentenced a wedding caterer to five years in prison after being found guilty in a disturbing case involving forced group sex, domestic abuse, and non-consensual recordings, following a complaint filed by his wife.

According to Assabah newspaper, the wife claimed her husband forced her to have violent sex with strangers, watching her suffer for his own pleasure. She also reported enduring repeated physical and emotional abuse.

The court also ordered the man to pay a fine of 50,000 dirhams and 30,000 dirhams in damages to the plaintiff.

The case began in mid-May when the wife filed a complaint with the public prosecutor. The investigation, conducted by the criminal division of Casablanca police, initially categorized the charges as human trafficking, sexual exploitation, domestic violence, incitement to debauchery, and unauthorized video recording.

The charges were later reclassified as misdemeanors:

  • Assault and battery

  • Luring individuals for prostitution

  • Recording and distributing private images without consent
