Casablanca: Jawad Ziyat Elected New President of Raja Club Athletic

On Monday evening in Casablanca, Jawad Ziyat was elected as the new president of Raja Club Athletic, during the club’s ordinary and extraordinary general assembly.

Ziyat secured a four-year term, defeating his rivals Abdellah Beraouine and Said Hasbane.

This marks a return to leadership for Ziyat, who previously served as club president from September 2018 to December 2020, a successful era during which Raja won the CAF Confederation Cup, the CAF Super Cup, and the Moroccan league title.

His election comes after a disappointing season for Raja, which ended fifth in the national league and failed to advance beyond the group stage of the CAF Champions League.
