Morocco Welcomes 8.9 Million Tourists in First Half of 2025, Up 19%

The Ministry of Tourism, Handicrafts, and Social and Solidarity Economy announced that Morocco received 8.9 million tourists during the first half of 2025, marking a 19% increase compared to the same period in 2024—an additional 1.4 million visitors.
In a statement, the ministry described this semester as “very promising”, maintaining a positive upward trend and confirming Morocco’s status as a preferred tourist destination.
June 2025 alone saw 1.7 million arrivals, an 11% increase from June 2024, making it the best-performing June on record.
Tourism Minister Fatim-Zahra Ammor said:
“These results reflect Morocco’s appeal and our growing ability to attract more and more tourists.”
She added that the second half of the year will focus on two priorities: boosting air connectivity and accelerating the development of accommodation and entertainment offerings to meet growing expectations.
