Morocco’s automotive industry recorded strong performance in 2024, with exports totaling MAD 157.6 billion, maintaining its position as the country’s top exporting sector for the second year in a row—a 6.3% increase from 2023.

This growth is mainly attributed to a significant rise in exports of the vehicle manufacturing and cabling ecosystems, which alone contributed an additional MAD 6.6 billion, reinforcing Morocco’s strategic role in global supply chains.

In second place, the phosphate and derivatives sector experienced a strong rebound, reaching MAD 87.1 billion in exports—up 13.5%—following a challenging 2023. Growth was especially noted in natural and chemical fertilizers (+14.4%), phosphoric acid (+11.5%), and raw phosphate (+10.6%).

Meanwhile, the agriculture and agri-food industry regained momentum with exports reaching MAD 87 billion, supported by a 9.1% increase in agricultural and forestry product exports.

These numbers highlight the diversification and resilience of Morocco’s economy and the effectiveness of its industrial and trade strategies.
