The Moroccan local national football team arrived in Nairobi, Kenya, early Monday morning, to compete in the 2024 African Nations Championship (CHAN), co-hosted by Kenya, Uganda, and Tanzania.

The squad received a warm and festive welcome at the airport, with traditional Kenyan performances showcasing the host country’s hospitality.

The Atlas Lions were drawn into Group B alongside Kenya, Zambia, Angola, and the DR Congo — a challenging group full of ambition.

Led by coach Tarik Sektioui, the Moroccan team aims to claim a third CHAN title, having triumphed in 2018 and 2020. The 28-man squad blends young talent with experienced players.

Morocco’s first match will be against Angola on Sunday at 4:00 PM (Moroccan time).
