Bhalil community shocked as woman suspected of fatally stabbing her husband

On Monday morning, the Rkiba neighborhood in Bhalil (Sefrou province) was shaken by a gruesome murder that claimed the life of a man in his fifties, a member of the Moroccan community residing in France.
According to eyewitnesses, the victim’s wife, and mother of his children, allegedly fatally stabbed him in the neck with a knife shortly after he returned from the dawn prayer. She then reportedly attempted suicide by ingesting a toxic substance and inflicting injuries on herself.
Residents expressed deep shock, describing the family as well-respected and known for their good morals, raising questions about the real motives behind the tragedy.
Alerted by a family member, Royal Gendarmerie officers and forensic police rushed to the scene, arrested the suspect, and transferred her to the hospital under police guard.
The victim’s body was taken to the morgue for an autopsy under the supervision of the competent public prosecutor to determine the exact circumstances of the crime.
