Tuesday’s weather forecast: thunderstorms, strong winds and cooler conditions

According to the General Directorate of Meteorology, fog patches will form Tuesday morning and night over the northwestern Saharan provinces.

Thunderstorms are expected over the Oriental region, the Middle Atlas, the Saïss, the eastern Mediterranean coastline, the Rif, and the southern Saharan provinces.

Scattered showers with occasional thunderstorms are also forecast in the Gharb, the High Atlas and the southeast, while local sand-laden winds will affect the south and southeast.

Fairly strong wind gusts are anticipated along the central coasts, the Tangier area, the Atlas Mountains and southern regions.

Minimum temperatures will range between 21°C and 26°C in the southeast, the Saharan provinces and the Mediterranean front, and between 16°C and 21°C elsewhere. Daytime highs will decrease.

Sea conditions: slight to moderate in the Mediterranean, calm to slight in the Strait of Gibraltar, rough to very rough north of Larache and south of Tarfaya, and rough along the rest of the Atlantic coast.
