Morocco’s Loudyi Receives Gambian Defense Minister

This visit, part of efforts to strengthen bilateral cooperation between the Kingdom of Morocco and the Republic of The Gambia, was marked by the signing of a Cooperation Agreement in the military field, according to a statement from the Administration of National Defense.
The Agreement covers cooperation in the areas of training, exercises, exchange visits, as well as the sharing of experiences and expertise in various fields of mutual interest. It also provides for the establishment of a Joint Military Commission to define the axes of cooperation, which will meet alternately in Rabat and Banjul.
The two ministers reviewed the various aspects of bilateral cooperation and the ways and means to strengthen it in areas of common interest, emphasizing the positive and constructive role of both Morocco and The Gambia in maintaining stability, security, and peace across the African continent.
The meeting also provided an opportunity to highlight various South-South cooperation initiatives and regional integration efforts launched under the leadership of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, positioning Morocco as a dynamic actor of stability and shared prosperity for the African continent.
At the conclusion of the meeting, both officials expressed their ambition and shared determination to further consolidate these relations in the future through the implementation of the military cooperation Agreement signed on this day.
