Death of Sion Assidon Attributed to Head Injury Complications, Fall from Ladder While Gardening Suspected

According to results of the investigation, the death was attributed to infectious complications (sepsis) from a head injury that included cerebral hemorrhages, cerebral contusions, and a skull fracture, according to a statement from the King’s public prosecutor general at the Casablanca Court of Appeal.
These conclusions, corroborated by the initial investigation findings, support the hypothesis of a fall from a ladder while the deceased was gardening, the same source said.
The public prosecutor’s office will ensure that the appropriate legal decision is taken upon completion of the investigation.
The King’s Public Prosecutor General at the Casablanca Court of Appeal stated that, following the public prosecutor’s office statement of August 19, 2025, regarding the late Sion Shimon Harim Baroch Assidon—who was found unconscious at his home and taken to hospital—instructions were given to the judicial police to open an investigation into the matter, the results of which have since been made public, according to the press release.
