Cold Weather and Light Rain Expected Across Morocco This Monday

The General Directorate of Meteorology forecasts cold to relatively cold weather this Monday over the Atlas Mountains, the Rif, the southeast, and the high plateaus.

Cloudy skies are expected over the High and Middle Atlas and their surrounding slopes, the Rif, the Mediterranean coastline, the Eastern region, and the central part of the country, with light rainfall or scattered showers in some areas.

Moderate to locally strong wind gusts are also anticipated over the Anti-Atlas, the High Atlas, as well as along the central and southern coasts.

Minimum temperatures will range from -5°C to 3°C over the Atlas, the Rif, and the eastern high plateaus, between 10°C and 17°C in the southern provinces and central regions, and between 5°C and 10°C elsewhere.

Sea conditions will be calm to slightly rough in the Mediterranean and the Strait, rough to very rough between Larache and Tarfaya, and slightly rough to rough along the rest of the coastline.
