In keeping with its ambition to make Casablanca into a global air hub, and in line with its development plan, Morocco’s flag carrier, Royal Air Maroc (RAM) is taking a new decisive step by operating a historic expansion of its international network.

Starting 2026, the national flag carrier is set to launch direct air routes to Europe, Africa and America, bolstering its role as a strategic gateway between the continents, RAM said in a press release.

“These new routes embody our growth ambition and represent a key milestone in our development plan. Since 2023, we have welcomed around nine additional aircraft, increased frequencies on several strategic destinations, and opened nearly twenty international routes,” said Hamid Addou, Chairman and CEO of Royal Air Maroc.

“In 2026, we will reach a new milestone with at least nine new routes, thereby strengthening Morocco’s connectivity with major global metropolises and contributing to the Kingdom’s economic and tourism outreach,” Addou continued.

A Reinforced Ambition: Connect Morocco to the World

This expansion plan rests on two major pillars, namely bolstering the medium-haul network and expanding long-haul connections, facilitated by the upcoming arrival of new aircraft.

Following the announcements of Casablanca–Saint Petersburg (from January 2026) and Casablanca–Los Angeles (from June 2026), Royal Air Maroc will launch five new routes from Casablanca starting in April 2026: Pointe-Noire (Congo), Tripoli (Libya), Beirut (Lebanon), Bilbao and Alicante (Spain). In June 2026, the Casablanca–Palma route will complete the airline’s Spanish network, which already serves Madrid, Barcelona, Málaga, Valencia and Seville.

The Italian network will also be strengthened with the addition of a direct Casablanca–Verona route as of June 20, 2026, supplementing the seven existing routes: Rome, Milan, Bologna, Naples, Catania, Turin and Venice.

In France, Royal Air Maroc extends its presence by inaugurating the Casablanca-Lille route in July 2026

Increased Capacity and Enhanced Customer Experience

At the same time, Royal Air Maroc will increase frequencies on several strategic long-haul routes, notably São Paulo, Miami, Washington and Dubai, thanks to the integration of new long-haul aircraft. These aircraft will offer a higher level of comfort, modernized cabins and connected services, in line with the most demanding international standards.

Through this major expansion, Royal Air Maroc reaffirms its role as a key player in promoting national tourism and strengthening the Kingdom’s connectivity with the rest of the world, while reiterating its commitment to the continuous improvement of the customer experience.

Tickets for these flights will be available for sale starting December 15 on Royal Air Maroc’s website, through the call centers and commercial agencies of the airline, as well as across the entire network of partner travel agencies.
