at least two soldiers lost their lives and several others were injured, some seriously, following the overturning of a passenger bus this Monday morning. The vehicle was transporting soldiers to the commune of Sidi M’Hamed Dalil, in the Saidate region, Chichaoua province. According to the Facebook page of the Royal Armed Forces (FAR), the FAR immediately mobilized its human and logistical resources to help the wounded. In coordination with local authorities, the injured soldiers were quickly evacuated to the military hospital in Marrakech. The same sources report that the Royal Gendarmerie has opened an investigation to determine legal responsibilities for this tragic accident, which occurred on the highway linking Agadir to Marrakech. Following this tragedy, the Royal Armed Forces family expressed its most sincere condolences and deep compassion to the families of the deceased, while wishing a speedy recovery to the injured.
