The Commission to Support the Organization of Film Festivals and Events decided, during its second session for the year 2024, to grant 25.97 million dirhams (MDH) for the benefit of 41 film festivals and events. A press release from the Moroccan Cinematographic Center (CCM) indicates in this regard that the commission, which met from July 23 to 25 in Rabat, examined 44 candidate files for support, presented by the organizers of national festivals and events, and decided to support 41 candidates. The Marrakech International Film Festival tops the list of beneficiaries with 12 MDH, followed by the Tangier National Film Festival (7.5 MDH), the Salé International Women’s Film Festival (1 MDH), the International Cinema Festival of author of Rabat (800,000 DH) and the International Maghreb Film Festival of Oujda (450,000 DH). the commission session, chaired by Khadija Alami Laaroussi, was held in the presence of Leila Triki, Chanaz El Akrichi, Fatima Zahra Mouhim, Mourad Latifi, Driss El Kerri, Mohamed Fadel El Joumani and Hicham Ibrahimi.
